Overview:
Pillar Resource Services Inc. is looking for skilled and experienced CWB certified apprentice and journeyman welders to work in our structural shop in Edmonton, Alberta.
Contractors or employees are welcome to apply. 40 hours a week. We offer employees a health and dental benefit package after a 3-month probation period.
Apprentice or Journeyman Welders – Structural
- Must be an active apprentice welder OR have your journeyman certificate
- Must be CWB certified
- Must have FCAW-all position
- MUST BE LOCAL
- We are just hiring locally at this time, no LOA is provided
Duties:
- Perform various welding tasks using FCAW.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding specifications
- Operate power tools and machinery such as plasma cutters and grinders
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to project requirements
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Structural Welder or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate power tools
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
