Twin-City Interloc has been a trusted leader in commercial landscape construction for over 38 years in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. We are currently looking for an experienced Excavator / Loader Operator to join our growing team.
What You’ll Do
- Operate a variety of construction equipment including 14-ton excavators, front-end loaders, skid steers, mini-excavators, and other equipment as required
- Perform excavation, grading, material handling, and site preparation for landscape construction projects
- Assist with precast retaining wall installation and other hardscape construction work
- Work closely with the Site Foreman to complete projects efficiently, on time, and within budget
- Support site crews with labour duties as needed to keep projects moving smoothly
General Responsibilities:
- Perform daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Report equipment issues, defects, and required repairs promptly
- Ensure assigned trucks, tools, and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in safe working condition
- Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and training requirements
- Maintain a professional, safety-focused approach on all job sites

What You Bring
- 3–5 years of direct experience in landscape construction or related construction work
- Proven experience operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, and similar equipment
- Experience with precast retaining wall construction is a strong asset
- Working knowledge of paving stone installation, retaining walls, grading, plantings, and related landscape construction work
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Ontario G Class driver’s license with clean abstract (Class AR or AZ is an asset)
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work 45–55 hours per week during peak season
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and active job sites
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour
