We are currently seeking a Computer Torque Technician to join our growing operations team. This position is responsible for operating our industry leading computerized torque monitoring systems during casing running operations, ensuring every connection is made accurately, documented thoroughly, and meets customer and manufacturer specifications.
As a Computer Torque Technician, you are a critical part of our quality assurance process. Your attention to detail and ability to recognize abnormal connection characteristics help ensure the integrity of every string we run.
Responsibilities
- Operate computerized torque monitoring systems during casing running operations.
- Monitor and analyze torque-turn graphs in real time.
- Verify all premium and API connections meet manufacturer specifications.
- Identify irregular make-up characteristics and communicate concerns immediately.
- Produce accurate electronic torque reports and job documentation.
- Maintain calibration and operational readiness of computer torque equipment.
- Work closely with casing crews, drilling contractors, and customer representatives to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in pre-job planning, hazard assessments, and safety meetings.
- Maintain company equipment and work vehicle to Dash Energy Services standards.
- Travel throughout Western Canada to support customer operations.
Qualifications
- Previous oilfield experience required.
- Casing running experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience operating computerized torque systems is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently in remote field environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
