A busy, well-established collision repair facility in the Vancouver area is seeking an Autobody Assistant Manager to help support the Shop Manager with daily operations.
We are looking for someone who can assist the Shop Manager with production flow, customer updates, parts follow-up, ICBC claim support, repair file organization, and general day-to-day shop coordination. A valid Drivers license is a must.
Schedule
This position can be structured as 3 or 4 days per week, depending on the right candidate’s availability and experience. Previous experience prepping and painting a major asset.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting the Shop Manager with daily production and workflow
Helping organize repair files, job status, and delivery timelines
Following up with technicians, estimators, parts suppliers, sublets, insurers, and customers
Helping monitor vehicles from intake to completion
Assisting with ICBC claim procedures, supplements, and repair documentation
Helping with customer updates and appointment coordination
Supporting quality control and final delivery preparation
Helping keep the shop organized, professional, and efficient
Assisting with day-to-day tasks as directed by the Shop Manager
The ideal candidate has:
Experience in the autobody or collision repair industry
Previous assistant manager, production, estimating, parts, or customer service experience including but not limited to hands on skills such as R&I and/or prepping and refinishing.
Good understanding of ICBC claims and collision repair workflow
Strong organization and follow-up skills
Good communication skills with staff, customers, and suppliers
Ability to support the manager and help keep jobs moving
High attention to detail and a professional attitude
