Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience with cleaning and facilities maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained workspace while developing skills in commercial cleaning and maintenance operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Schedule Shift time: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday, Friday, Saturday, Holidays Availability
· Report to Facility Supervisor
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform the necessary cleaning functions in the company (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.).
· Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
· Stock and maintain supply rooms clean and neat
· Assist in inventory and purchases of janitorial supplies as requested.
· Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
· Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
· Follow all health and safety regulations
· Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising the Food Safety Program, specific to the assigned role.
· Assist in ensuring compliance with Lucky’s Food Safety Program, which will lead to compliance with third-party certification and customer requirements.
· Work safely with minimal environmental impact and understand the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and ecological spills immediately to the supervisor
· Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
· 3+ years of Janitor experience
· Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and climb ladders
· Good Organization Skills
· Ability to communicate in English
· Open to work on statutory holidays and weekends
· Understanding food products is an asset
- Ability to lift moderate loads and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties
