In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of Genesis vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction expected of a luxury automotive brand.
The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic abilities, excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the confidence to troubleshoot complex vehicle concerns. You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-specific systems to identify concerns accurately and complete repairs efficiently and correctly the first time.

Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of Genesis vehicles.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and drivability concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer procedures.
- Use Genesis-approved diagnostic tools, technical information, wiring diagrams, service procedures, and diagnostic resources to identify the root cause of vehicle concerns.
- Perform electrical and electronic diagnostics, including communication networks, sensors, modules, wiring, and advanced vehicle systems.
- Diagnose and repair both ICE and electrified vehicles, including hybrid and EV systems, in accordance with manufacturer safety procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services according to Genesis manufacturer specifications.
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while following factory repair procedures and technical bulletins.
- Verify all repairs through proper testing and quality-control procedures before returning the vehicle to the guest.
- Clearly document diagnostic findings, testing performed, repairs completed, and parts required on the repair order.
- Communicate diagnostic findings and additional repair requirements clearly with the Service Advisor and Service Management team.
- Work closely with Parts and Service Advisors to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Participate in technical training and remain current with new Genesis technologies, diagnostic procedures, software updates, and vehicle systems.
- Assist other technicians with difficult or complex diagnostic concerns when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation and properly care for guest vehicles.
- Follow all dealership, Genesis, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintain the highest level of workmanship and professionalism consistent with the Genesis luxury brand experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Strong diagnostic experience with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic concerns.
- Excellent understanding of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, sensors, modules, and vehicle communication networks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to accurately interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Experience using advanced automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
- Experience with Genesis, Hyundai, or another OEM dealership environment is considered a strong asset.
- EV/hybrid diagnostic and repair experience is an asset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple repair orders and prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and repairing vehicles correctly the first time.
- Professional attitude and appearance with a strong understanding of the expectations associated with a luxury automotive brand.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving automotive technology.
