Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting various warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and possess the necessary skills to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely
- Assist with order picking, packaging, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery of products
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against documentation
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory tracking and data entry
- Perform lite lifting tasks to move materials or products within the warehouse
- Support manufacturing processes by handling raw materials or finished goods as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist in warehouse maintenance activities, including equipment inspections and basic repairs when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software for inventory control
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to perform lite lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution, packaging, and load & unload operations
- Prior experience with warehouse experience or management systems is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order accuracy
