Fluency in reading and writing English is a requirement for this position.
Preference will be given to workers already authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Assist carpenters with various tasks including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Read and interpret blueprints to assist with project planning
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery as needed for construction projects
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of materials and equipment
- Assist with carpentry tasks such as framing, installing windows and doors, and building structures
Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes is a plus
- Basic carpentry skills including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
