PHYSIOTHERAPIST - IN-HOME CARE Progress+ | Multiple locations (Ontario)
JOB OVERVIEW
Progress+ is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our growing in-home healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized rehabilitation programs directly to clients in their homes, helping them regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. Your expertise and caring approach will make a direct, meaningful impact on patient recovery and independence. This is a paid position offering flexibility and the rewarding experience of working in diverse home environments.
COMPENSATION & DETAILS
- $40/hour
- In-home physiotherapy services across the Greater Toronto Area
- Flexible scheduling with travel time built into visits
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical conditions in their home environments, including mobility, strength, and pain levels
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and home setup
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and evidence-based modalities to promote healing and functional improvement
- Deliver training sessions and progressive conditioning based on assessment findings
- Adapt treatment strategies to work effectively within clients' homes and available space
- Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary for optimal outcomes
- Educate clients and their families on injury prevention, self-care techniques, and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress notes
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Manage scheduling and travel logistics to optimize your route across the GTA
- Demonstrate professionalism and compassion in all client interactions
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Provincial Physiotherapy License or Registration (College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing) - REQUIRED
- Certified Personal Trainer certification (NASM, ACE, ISSN, or equivalent recognized certification) - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Proven experience as a Physiotherapist with exposure to acute care, post-operative, or rehabilitative populations
- Experience with diverse client populations (pediatric, geriatric, neurological) is an asset
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and rehabilitation principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport quickly
- Ability to work independently in clients' homes while maintaining professional standards
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (required for traveling across GTA)
- Ability to manage multiple clients and adapt to varying home environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field is an asset
