The Career Foundation is seeking a experienced Line Cooks on behalf of one of our employer partners for a busy, high-volume chain restaurant in Etobicoke.
We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in preparing high-quality food while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
We are currently hiring for the following stations:
- Pizza Cook
- Grill Cook
- Fryer Cook
- Pantry/Salad Cook
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stock workstations with required ingredients and supplies.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Independently manage your assigned station while maintaining productivity and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout your shift.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
- Prioritize orders during busy service periods.
- Assist with food preparation, inventory rotation, and closing duties.
Station-Specific Responsibilities:
Pizza Cook
- Prepare pizzas according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage the pizza station independently while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Grill Cook
- Cook proteins including chicken, steak, and salmon to required specifications.
- Maintain the grill station and ensure proper food handling procedures.
Fryer Cook
- Operate the fryer station efficiently while ensuring food quality and consistency.
Pantry/Salad Cook
- Prepare salads and cold menu items according to standardized recipes.
- Maintain freshness, organization, and presentation standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Line Cook in a full-service or fast-casual restaurant
- Experience working in a high-volume kitchen is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of grilling, frying, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
