Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts & Service Coordinator / Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves managing parts inventory, coordinating service activities, and supporting shop operations to ensure efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience in dealership or manufacturing environments, and familiarity with supply chain and procurement processes. Responsibilities
- Manage parts inventory, including sourcing, procurement, and data entry to maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely availability of parts and supplies for repairs and maintenance
- Assist with purchasing activities, including vendor negotiations and order processing
- Support shop operations by organizing parts storage, tracking orders, and ensuring proper documentation using ERP systems or CMMS software
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal and external inquiries related to parts and service requests
- Assist with demand planning and supply chain management to optimize inventory levels and reduce downtime
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed for parts handling
- Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify cost-effective suppliers and negotiate favorable terms
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, including proper handling of mechanical components and tools
Requirements
- Previous dealership or manufacturing experience is highly preferred
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to the industry, including familiarity with HVAC systems or similar equipment is a plus
- Proficiency in ERP systems, CMMS software, or demand planning tools
- Ability to operate forklifts or warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies and negotiation techniques for procurement activities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
