RSP is currently seeking a IT Specialist to join our team. Established in 1969, our firm was founded on the values of honesty, trust and professionalism for our clients. As a key member of the team, you will work directly with Partners to and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for office computer software, hardware, boardroom, and office equipment.
- Facilitate IT onboarding/off boarding for new employees, including CIRA training and software/IT equipment training.
- Set up and manage network accounts for new employees, and deactivate unnecessary accounts.
- Assist with office moves and set up workstations with the necessary software, troubleshooting any performance issues.
- Troubleshoot issues with office equipment, printers, copiers, scanners, faxes, and phone systems.
- Oversee and manage CIRA and cybersecurity training programs, including user account management, report generation, and course scheduling and deployment.
- Maintain and monitor network requirements, diagnosing and resolving network issues.
- Maintain, update and support Microsoft servers, Active Directory, Domain Controller, DHCP, Fileserver, server backup.
- Track and manage IT inventory, updating inventory lists promptly, and recommend new IT equipment purchases and warranties.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree in Computer Science or a related field and/or at least 2 years of related experience in: server support, end-user support, software support, computer hardware configuration and/or repair, help desk/ service Desk support.
- Professional certification is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in using PC/networked computers to produce word-processed materials, use databases, and manage email, with a strong aptitude for detailed analytical work.
- Knowledge of office equipment and computer functions to provide technical support to staff.
- Understanding of network security and configuration, desktop applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 365, Windows Azure Server, Office 365 administration, and Microsoft Windows Operating System software.
- Demonstrated experience managing completing demands and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent clerical, database, and administrative skills with a sound understanding of office procedures and practices.
- Ability to manage time effectively to balance constant interruptions and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision, both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with professional accounting/law firm is a huge asset.
