Position Summary
Reporting to NWR’s Controller, the Treasury Analyst is responsible for managing cash and bank accounts, preparing related reports, reviewing credit, banking, and commercial contracts for compliance, ensuring covenant compliance and reporting, and supporting marketing analysis, including pricing analysis. The role also includes financial reporting and ad hoc finance projects that support the Sturgeon Refinery’s operations. In addition, the Treasury Analyst works with the Treasury Coordinator to plan and deliver a financially prudent and efficient debt management program for the NWRP.
Responsibilities:
- Treasury & Cash Management: Manage the banking structure, including trust accounts, electronic fund transfers, foreign exchange transactions, and controlled disbursements;

Debt Financing: Assist in debt financing preparation and issuances of bonds, credit facilities and commercial paper;

Forecasting & Analysis: Provide biweekly cash forecasts for toll services, reconcile actual vs. forecasted amounts, and monitor cash balances;

Compliance & Reporting: Prepare regular compliance documentation and provide timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders;

Financial Support: Assist Corporate Accounting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting;

System Optimization: Develop and maintain treasury management tools to drive reporting efficiencies;

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Accounting, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure operational coverage and alignment;

Requirements:

CPA or CFA designation is required, with extensive experience in banking, financial analysis and credit along with a passion for financial reporting, delivering the highest quality product to internal and external stakeholders;

Must have a proven track record working with banks or brokerages in treasury or equity functions, (experience with marketing contracts is preferred);

Excellence and passion for financial reporting, and the ability to build/refine internal policies and procedures;
