Construction site Supervisor:
What you will be doing as a Construction site Supervisor:
· Daily Operations: Direct and coordinate all day-to-day activities on the construction site, ensuring adherence to blueprints, specifications, and design-build parameters.
· Subcontractor Coordination: Schedule, manage, and oversee subcontractors and trades, ensuring clear communication of project expectations and milestones.
· Project Progress: Monitor project schedules closely to ensure timely completion; proactively identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
· Material & Logistics: Oversee the delivery, storage, and inventory of materials Standards Enforcement: Maintain rigorous quality control standards, particularly regarding specialized requirements for food-safe environments, cold storage insulation, and high-pressure CNG/LNG systems.
· Inspections: Conduct regular site walks and coordinate with municipal inspectors, engineers, and clients to secure necessary approvals and sign-offs.
· Deficiency Management: Identify, document, and resolve construction deficiencies promptly.
· Safety Leadership: Enforce a strict zero-injury safety culture on-site, ensuring full compliance with local occupational health and safety regulations (OSHA/local equivalents).
· Documentation: Conduct daily tool-box talks, maintain accurate daily site logs, incident reports, and hazard assessments.
· Environmental Compliance: Ensure the site meets all environmental and specialized clean-room or industrial compliance standards.
What you should have as a Construction site Supervisor:
· 7-10 years progressive experience in General Contracting as a Superintendent or Site Supervisor.
· Ability to run commercial, light-industrial, mid-sized projects valued at $1M-$10M with limited supervision.
· All-weather construction experience on ground-up projects.
· Trades background (carpentry, concrete, finishing, service or special projects work) is preferred.
· Ability to read prints, measurements and layouts.
· Competency in areas of safety, administration, workforce management, cost/quality control, administration, and project execution.
· A strong understanding of other trades and disciplines as they relate to workforce planning and site coordination activities.
· Proficiency with computers, email communications, progress reports, and online safety tools/forms.
· Project management skills and understanding of core principles construction (safety, budget, schedule, & SOWs)
· Demonstrated strategic planning, problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.
· Your relationship building skills and collaborative approach have allowed you to build trust and grow your network of professional and innovative partners.
· Ability to manage difficult situations with positive results.
