The Global Support Functions (GSF) Finance Business Analyst (FBA) is responsible for planning, controlling and reporting activities as well as providing financial support and tracking spend for the various Support Functions in Sanofi Canada. This role will focus on the analysis of actual spending to budget, monitoring the application of internal controls, and insightful reporting of monthly headcount and expense within all Global Verticalized Support Functions management centers. A significant amount of cross-functional coordination and leadership is required with key stakeholders/process owners in Accounting & Reporting, Finance, SAP Financial Systems Team, and SAP Master Data Team to successfully accomplish departmental objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support respective stakeholders by meeting business function requirements while ensuring compliance with approved budgets, accounting guidelines and internal control policies.
Prepare annual budget and trimester forecasts for all Support Functions ensuring that figures reported (P&L, Personnel Costs, Headcount and IS Indicators) are accurate and validated as required by Corporate.
Prepare and review financial analysis and commentary for reporting packages used internally by each Global Management Centre and Finance.
Submission of all plan and forecasting Opex data in the TM1 system.
Responsible for month-end and quarter-end closing activities in all Support Functions areas in coordination with NA Shared Services group including adherence to month-end close deadlines, inter-company transactions, Fixed Assets, G&A allocations, balance sheet reconciliations and other related period closing activities.
Review and approve CapEx and OpEx Procure-to-Pay spending (POs, AEDs), headcount requisitions, invoices, contracts, etc. ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
Work with SAP Master Data Shared Services team to ensure SAP cost objects and reporting hierarchies are maintained and meet business reporting and analysis requirements.
Special projects as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Professional Designation (CA, CMA, CGA) or MBA is preferred.
5+ years of professional experience in Finance

Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes and controls
Excellent analytical skills as well as communication/interpersonal skills
Knowledge of SAP/TM1/Essbase/Hyperion experience an asset
