Job Description
We are seeking a Survey Technologist for our Northern Alberta projects.
As the ideal candidate, you are capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks while meeting submission deadlines and thriving in a dynamic work environment. You will have the opportunity to develop a career path focused on technical leadership based on your career aspirations and qualifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Topographic and quantity surveys.
- Construction staking and layout.
- Set up and monitor heavy equipment GPS machine control.
- Assist with miscellaneous technical activities or general labor as required.
- Shift work within compliance of provincial legislation.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years industry experience in geomatics or civil engineering technology.
- 5+ years industry experience with field survey data collection software, Microsoft Office, or other software for civil design.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Committed team player and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel within Alberta
Education
High school diploma or Post-Secondary Diploma in Civil Engineering or Geomatics
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Acheson, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
