Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting our products to various customer locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, organizational ability, and a commitment to professionalism, supporting our mission of delivering quality service efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate 3-5 tonne trucks or similar vehicles to deliver products according to scheduled routes
- Load and unload items using manual handling techniques
- Ensure accurate loading of goods to prevent damage during transit
- Deliver products directly to customers’ locations while providing professional customer service
- Follow designated routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks safely during loading and unloading processes
- Document delivery activities accurately and obtain customer signatures upon receipt
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with freightliner trucks or similar vehicles
- Valid full class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Common Safety Orientation certification
- Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and warehouse operations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely
- Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving
- Physical stamina for moving, lifting heavy items, and extended periods of driving
