Job description:

Acting under the Director of Finance and Administration, the main responsibilities of the controller are:

  • Be responsible of the month-end process and filing of the monthly internal financial statements;
  • Perform month-end analyses and month-end journal entries;
  • Review bank reconciliations and general ledger journal entries;
  • Overview and review payroll processes as well as T4 issuance and year-end payroll reporting;
  • Participate in producing quarterly board reports;
  • Perform income and expense accounts analyses, accrual entries, review invoices and remit sales taxes;
  • Analyze and follow Key Performance Indicators;
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Prepare cash flow statement and bank position follow up;
  • Improve and document accounting processes;
  • Ensure application of internal controls;
  • Supervise the yearly audit;
  • Participate in the optimization of business processes.


  • Bachelor of Business Administration or Commerce, with accounting profile
  • CPA designation obtained or in process (exam passed)
  • 5 years of experience with complete accounting cycle
  • Experience in managing employees
  • Intermediate or advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • MS Access knowledge a nice to have
  • Bilingual (French/English)
