JOB TITLE: BARTENDER
DEPARTMENT: FRONT OF HOUSE
REPORTING TO: GENERAL MANAGER, BAR MANAGER, HEAD BARTENDER
OVERVIEW
As a bartender, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the WET aspect of the venue. You will adhere to service benchmarks and SOPs set by the venue and execute accordingly.
You are expected to work in unison with all members of staff, regardless of position, and to deliver a superior guest experience.
By offering outstanding hospitality at all times, you will ensure that all beverage service is consistent with the culture and ethos of the bar.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PEOPLE
· During service, work in unison with the bar team to ensure the venue is operating in the best way possible to offer an excellent guest experience
· Support the General Manager, Bar Manager, and Head Bartender by ensuring you are adhering to all service benchmarks and SOPs.
· Encourage and praise team members on good performance
· Maintain a good working relationship with all members across all departments
· Continually strive to achieve personal goals and objectives
· Support other departments where required
· Maintain uniform standards
· Carry out any extra duties as requested
DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS
· Maintain full working proficiency of the menu and stock
· Explain the concept, communicate specials, and make recommendations
· Run service alongside your fellow team members
· Cultivate unique and memorable experiences for guests
· Handle cash and process payments
· Adhere to opening and closing procedures
REQUIREMENTS
· Valid SmartServe
· Valid work permit
· Must be able to walk and stand for entire shift, up to 12 hours
· Must be able to continuously reach, bend, and stretch
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 20kg
