COMPANY OVERVIEW
The Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is a joint venture owned by three Prairie centrals created to digitally transform and modernize payment services for credit unions in the Prairies. PPJV’s goal is to ensure Prairie credit unions are competitive in payments and have access to efficient, modernized payments processing infrastructure.
The Position
Prairie Payments Joint Venture is looking for a Manager, Information Technology Operations who will be responsible for the deployment, support, and maintenance of Enterprise Cloud and Infrastructure Platforms at PPJV. This role involves working with service providers; technology vendors; credit unions; service management and customer service to deliver the technology needed to meet business demands. Oversees business objectives and maintains systems to standards of performance consistent with regulatory and corporate expectations at PPJV aligned to PPJV and Credit Unions business vision.
This position reports the Director, Infrastructure Engineering and IT Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
With decision making and limited supervision, manages the following:

Deployment, support and maintenance of Cloud and Infrastructure Platform environments with service providers

Manages SLA in a typical IT operations environment

Manages change and impact assessments in the PPJV ecosystem of credit unions and technology partners

Promote ITIL best practices within the organization

Define IT Change process
-
Define prescriptive SLA and SLOs in collaboration with service providers for PPJV and credit unions service targets

Manage Incidents to ensure timely resolution, identify root cause and direct remediation efforts to prevent re-occurrence

Managing quality assurance across all services within the Manager Service Practice (MSP) support teams

Drive internal service improvements including the introduction of new systems and new technologies to support the business

Share on-call duties with team members

Provide input into process development & enhancement activities in line with stakeholder requirements

Act as an escalation point to senior management for IT Service Operation issues

Act as management escalation point for MSP process managers

Provide leadership to foster a service culture within the department focusing on service excellence & promoting the customer experience.

Work with Production Operations to plan, assign, and manage service onboarding, platform support, credit unions onboarding, testing support and coordination with service providers.
Experience and Skills Requirements

Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

10+ years IT Service Management (ITSM) experience

Experience with service delivery management for cloud Azure, AWS, and Infrastructure Tech Stack

Strong understanding of cloud services e.g., Microsoft Azure; AWS

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (Active Directory; Messaging; Networking; Security; Cloud; API architecture)

Strong understanding of hardware; software; security and networking technologies (LAN/WAN; VPN; Routing)

Strong understanding of Analytics Platform; Managed Service Platforms; and Integration Architecture

Efficient and effective budget management skills

Ideally, candidates will be located in one of our current customer areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
