Summary:
Working with the Shop Foreman, the Lube Technician is responsible for minor repairs and servicing of equipment in the field.
Job Duties Responsibilities:
- Perform preventable maintenance and minor repairs on various construction equipment
- Utilize hand and power tools safely to complete tasks efficiently.
- Facilitate safety inspections
- Assess equipment to see if it needs to be sent elsewhere for repairs
- Report faults and malfunctions on all company equipment
- Coordinate with Shop Foreman to determine priorities for equipment repair
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as a mechanic is required
- Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset
- Willing and able to work out-of-town/province for service calls
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Safety-first attitude
- Provide: must have own tools, hard hat, high visibility vest, CSA approved steel-toed safety boots/shoes
