Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing shop and yard facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, including excavators, power tools, and hand tools. This role involves performing routine maintenance, landscaping, gardening, irrigation, and light construction tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor and indoor spaces. The Maintenance Worker will play a vital role in supporting the operational efficiency and appearance of our grounds and facilities.

Hours
The expected work hours run 8:00am until 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime may be required according to business needs. You will be eligible for overtime in accordance with Provincial Legislation.
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop, Yard & Maintenance Worker to support our operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized yard shop, and building, assisting with equipment upkeep, and supporting day-to-day operational needs.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, variety in tasks, and working both indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop, yard, and storage areas
- Assist with basic building maintenance, repairs, and servicing of tools and equipment
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and deliveries
- Perform general labour duties including sweeping, pressure washing, and organizing inventory
- Support field crews by preparing tools, materials, and equipment
- Perform routine yard checks and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Operate basic equipment (e.g., skid steer, forklift – if certified)
- Assist with minor building maintenance and seasonal tasks (snow removal, etc.)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a yard, shop, labour, or maintenance role preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 required; higher class is an asset)
- Basic mechanical knowledge is considered an asset
- Forklift or equipment certification is an asset (training may be provided)
- Strong attention to safety and detail
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
