We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate is passionate about infection prevention and patient safety, takes pride in maintaining an organized clinical environment, and works well in a fast-paced setting.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic by maintaining sterilized instruments, supporting clinical staff, and helping create an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
Instrument Processing & Sterilization
· Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments according to IPC guidelines.
· Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
· Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain accurate sterilization logs and records.
· Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage.
· Organize and store sterilized instruments appropriately.
Operatory & Clinical Support
· Turn over operatories between patients following clinic infection control protocols.
· Prepare treatment rooms and clinical trays for scheduled procedures.
· Restock operatories and sterilization areas with supplies as required.
· Assist the clinical team in maintaining efficient patient flow.
Inventory & Equipment Maintenance
· Monitor inventory levels of sterilization supplies and clinical materials.
· Notify management of supply shortages and equipment concerns.
· Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sterilization centre and clinical support areas.
Infection Prevention & Control
· Adhere to all infection prevention and workplace safety protocols.
· Follow manufacturer recommendations for cleaning and sterilization equipment.
· Ensure compliance with provincial dental regulatory standards and clinic policies.
· Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
· Previous dental sterilization, or dental assistant experience.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
· Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred
· Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles.
· Familiarity with dental instruments and terminology.
· CPR/First Aid certification considered an asset.
