The Marketing Merchandiser is responsible for promoting the dealership's brand, vehicles, products, and services through creative marketing initiatives, merchandising, social media, community involvement, and dealership presentation. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, this position assists in developing and executing marketing and advertising campaigns while ensuring the dealership, showroom, and vehicle inventory are always professionally presented and customer-ready. This role also works collaboratively with the Detail, Sales, Service, Parts, and Administration teams to support dealership operations and enhance the customer experience.

Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute monthly marketing campaigns and promotions.

Assist in creating advertisements for print, digital, radio, and social media.

Maintain consistent dealership branding across all marketing platforms.

Coordinate manufacturer marketing initiatives and co-op advertising requirements.

Assist with budgeting and tracking marketing expenditures.

Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Manage dealership social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).

Create engaging photo and video content featuring vehicles, staff, customer deliveries, and dealership events.

Schedule regular social media posts and monitor audience engagement.

Respond to online comments and messages as appropriate.

Assist with website updates, promotions, and vehicle merchandising.

Ensure all new and pre-owned vehicle listings are accurate and up to date.

Coordinate professional vehicle photography and videos.

Write compelling vehicle descriptions.

Monitor online inventory presentation and pricing.

Ensure vehicles are properly displayed on the lot with current pricing and promotional materials.

Conduct regular lot walks to ensure the dealership lot is clean, organized, and always show ready.

Work closely with the Detail Department to ensure vehicles are cleaned, photographed, fueled, and prepared for display and customer delivery.

Coordinate with Sales and Detail to ensure incoming inventory is merchandised and available for sale as quickly as possible.

Maintain showroom displays and promotional signage.

Coordinate seasonal decorations and merchandising.

Ensure marketing materials are current and professionally displayed.

Order promotional materials and branded merchandise as required.

Support dealership cleanliness and presentation standards from a marketing and merchandising perspective.

Plan and coordinate dealership events, customer appreciation days, BBQs, vehicle launches, and community sponsorships.

Organize participation in community events, trade shows, and local fundraisers.

Develop partnerships with local organizations to increase dealership visibility.

Assist with customer delivery presentations and special promotions.

Encourage and manage online customer reviews.

Photograph inventory, dealership events, and staff.

Produce promotional videos and reels.

Support Sales, Service, Parts, Detail, and Administration departments with promotional and merchandising needs.

Maintain strong working relationships between Sales, Service, Parts, and Detail to ensure dealership operations run efficiently.

Stay current with automotive marketing trends, manufacturer branding standards, and digital marketing tools.

Assist with special projects as assigned.

Experience in marketing, communications, merchandising, or a related field preferred.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Experience managing social media platforms.

Photography and video editing experience is an asset.
