Duties
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions across various subjects, tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs and learning styles
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student goals
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continuous improvement
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that boosts student confidence and motivation
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to provide updates on progress and address concerns
- Utilize educational resources and technology to enhance learning experiences
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, student achievements, and areas for further development
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with diverse age groups and subjects
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain concepts and motivate learners
- Experience working with children or students requiring additional academic support is highly desirable
- Classroom experience or familiarity with educational best practices is a plus
- Passion for education and helping others succeed with an energetic, positive attitude
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and needs
- Reliable, organized, and committed to creating an engaging learning environment
You would be expected to provide in-home tutoring, therefore a means of reliable transportation is important
