We are currently hiring for the position of Infant Teacher at our New Brighton Campus.
Shifts: Mon/Tus/Wed/Thu - 9 am - 6 pm
Our facility offers spacious classrooms lit with natural light, features an indoor playground and has been designed with babies in mind
We strive to maintain a high quality of care through low student to teacher ratios
Children are between the ages of newborn to 24 months depending on the location
Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through experiences.
Essentials duties include, but are not limited to:
Encourage children through role modelling and guidance to respect themselves and others
Spark imagination, build self-esteem and encourage children to enrich their everyday experiences using the environment as the third teacher
Ensure that classroom practices meet Alberta Childcare Licensing and Accreditation Standards
Plan open-ended activities
Create engaging learning opportunities based on the learning objectives of the classroom
Provide care for children including diapering, feeding, napping as needed.
Ability to lift a min. of 40 lbs especially when working with infants and toddlers
The successful applicant will:
Have a diploma in Early Childhood Education / Early Child-care Certification
Evidence of Criminal Record Clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Search, within past 6 months
Previous experience an asset
Current First Aid Certificate an asset
