Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee and Tea Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving coffee,bubble tea, and related food items while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Previous barista experience is a great asset, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, cash handling, and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and customer service space
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling food items or restocking supplies as needed
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or POS systems
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers
Skills
- Previous barista experience preferred; strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for cashiering and transaction management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing register operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the food industry or food service is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
