Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the timely preparation of high-quality dishes and maintaining the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to safety and cleanliness. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations throughout shifts
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Restock supplies and assist in inventory management as needed
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to promote a safe working environment
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or food industry preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with serving customers or working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting
