The Opportunity
The Regional Manager, Maintenance and Facilities is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of all AgeCare properties and ensuring compliance within accordance to Federal, Provincial and Local requirements. This position is responsible for the overall coordination of general maintenance activities that are common to all sites including, but not limited to: grounds keeping, HVAC, boilers, Fire Alarm and Fire Protection systems, building envelope, pest control, waste and recycling, snow removal and all items related to building structure.
This is a Hybrid role with 3 days in office/site visits and 2 days remotely.
What You Will Do
- Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the physical plant operations for all AgeCare sites.
- Inspect the facilities on a scheduled basis, to ensure that the grounds, facility and equipment are maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures and all hazardous areas are properly identified.
- Review budgets with teams monthly to ensure they are staying within guidelines for expenditures and following appropriate process for procurement.
- Promotes communication and public relations internally between departments and externally with the community for the enrichment of quality resident care.
- Responsible to ensure proper training and education is provided and/ or completed by site maintenance departments.
- Review policies and procedures to ensure work tasks by the maintenance teams are performed in a way resident safety is the focus & promote a culture of safety.
What You Bring
- Class 5 Certificate / or equivalent from a recognized institution or equivalent.
- Multi Building experience is required.
- Licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, in maintenance / plant positions.
- Experience in navigation with CMMS systems.
- Reliable vehicle, drivers license. (Mileage is provided for site visitations).
