In this role, you will:
Lead a team of technology professionals including resource assignments, oversight of work deliverables, and the technical and professional development of team members
Fully understand one technical function/domain/area of specialty within the team's responsibilities (e.g. Development, Testing, Business Systems Analysis, Infrastructure, Architecture, TS Security) and partner with the Architecture team to ensure technology direction, principles and standards are understood, aligned and followed
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members and promote a positive and professional team environment
Your Responsibilities

Identify pending issues and options to resolve them
Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure effective and efficient delivery of solutions/services based on approved and funded priorities
Act as application owner and/or lead the team as a SCRUM Master to deliver sprint goals, tasks and deliverables, and conduct stand-ups and retrospectives
Provide leadership to plan and execute on strategy for business value and team growth
Visibly support the development and fostering of a defined Technology Solutions (TS) culture, creating a winning brand
Promote and practice the Economical Code of Business Conduct and core values
Develop, coach and manage the performance of all team members ensuring achievement of business, functional and individual goals
Provide ongoing input and support to team members' performance and development plans
Foster an environment/culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, diversity, open communication, productivity, continuous improvement, learning and a high level of professionalism
Understand business and technology strategies/roadmaps related to applicable technical function/domain/area of specialty and participate in TS Roadmap development
Lead the team in the execution of applicable TS roadmaps by defining specific goals, objectives and work tasks/accountabilities for each team member, and partner with TS peers and business teams to ensure alignment to Economical's strategic business goals
Execute ongoing resource management for the team by: understanding work demand and capacity requirements, creating staffing plans, assigning resources with the appropriate skills/capabilities (leverage both internal resources and external partners), managing work assignments and staff performance
Assess and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, best practices and methodologies to share with team members and management, and influence the evolution of TS roadmaps to deliver expected results
Your Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
2+ years of experience managing a technical team of 5 to 10 developers
5+ years of experience designing, building and testing large web applications
Experience working in Scrum or Agile based environment
Experience with .Net (VB and C#), XAML, TFS, JavaScript, Ajax, JS libraries such as Angular and React
Experience in building NTier architecture enterprise development using TDD and RESTful APIs following micro-services architecture
Experience working with WCF and REST web services
Ability to thrive in a faced-paced environment
Excellent communication and analytical skills
