Overview
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating an assigned semi truck unit to safely transport precast concrete to various build sites on flat deck trailers. Truckers would work Monday to Friday; various hours per day. Overtime is calculated daily over 8 hours. The ideal candidate will live within reasonable travel distance (30-45 minutes) of Winnipeg or Haywood, Manitoba.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate semi tractor trailer units on highways and in cities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain eLog through Motive app while communicating effectively with dispatch
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary; report major failures / repairs in a timely manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License
- Over 2 years of experience (flatdeck experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures for transportation including cargo securement
- Physical ability to perform cargo securement with strapping, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, time management skills and dependability
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
