Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of construction and maintenance person skills, with experience in various trades including carpentry, painting and drywall work. This role requires hands-on experience with tools and machinery. The candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of tasks related to construction, restoration, and maintenance projects.
Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans to understand project requirements.
- Execute cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and siding tasks with precision.
- Conduct construction painting and caulking to ensure quality finishes.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Carry out restoration projects that may involve woodworking and cabinetry.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary for materials and equipment during construction activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Provide general maintenance person services including assembly, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and roofing tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or related fields with a strong emphasis on carpentry, masonry, or maintenance person services.
- Knowledge of basic shop mathematics to calculate metric conversions and materials needed for jobs.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols when working with power tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
