We would like to add multiple CAREER-FOCUSED PM (Preventative Maintenance) Servicemen to our teams in the Fort McMurray (Wood Buffalo) region.
Base Rates for this position range from $44.34 - $47.51/hour! The regular scheduled rotation of 168 hours allows for 80 hours of regular + 88 hours of overtime.
+ 6.5% of gross earnings for hours worked
+ Commuter Supports ($1,000/month**) for individuals traveling to the region for work
+ Compensation Package Extras: Matching RRSP program, vacation pay, sick time benefits, group benefits (life, critical illness & disability insurance, extended health, dental, vision), allowances (location, boot & tool), bonus structure, accommodations and transportation to and from site.

The Job:
PM Servicemen are an integral part of our operations! They are responsible for the preventative / general maintenance and light repairs of our customer’s and our company’s heavy equipment in a safety sensitive environment. This job requires careful attention to detail and the ability to easily adapt to new technologies.
Our career PM Servicemen will be motivated, committed and look forward to providing consistent and efficient services, being masters of their profession. These individuals will also share their skills and knowledge as they mentor apprentices along their journey. Is this you?
The PM Servicemen will be expected to work 12 hour shifts, alternating sets between days and nights, 14 days on and 14 days off. In this position, Servicemen are generally required to stand for the entire shift and lift in excess of 50 pounds. Being physically capable of doing the job is a necessity.
If not local, it is your responsibility to get to Fort McMurray (don't forget the commuter supports!), however shared accommodations and transportation to and from site will be provided to the successful candidate.
As a PM Serviceman YOU will:
- Adhere to and comply with all safety and environmental policies and initiatives
- Complete preventative maintenance and light repairs of heavy equipment in safety-sensitive environments, as per the maintenance schedule
- Inspect and document damage and defects
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with company policies
- Monitor and check work or information/plans and organizes time and resources efficiently
What we need from YOU:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Heavy Equipment/Mining and/or construction industry
- Experience with dozers, haul trucks and excavators of all major brands such as CAT, John Deere, Hitachi and Komatsu a definite asset
- Someone who participates in and promotes a strong safety culture
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Superior mechanical aptitude
- Strong ethics and compliance to rules and regulations
- Team player who shows initiative and is a continual learner
- Someone who takes pride in their work
- Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Has a collaborative communication style at all levels of the organization demonstrating an open, honest and consistent approach to working with others
- Must be able to complete a Respirator Fit test and don a mask at any time while at work, which also means compliance with facial hair requirements to ensure a complete seal for the mask
