Our client is seeking passionate and curious Software Development Managers to join their growing technology team! In this role, you will head up a team of developers to deliver an extraordinary product, and assume responsibility for their growth and mentorship. On top of that, you'll have opportunities to be hands-on with the tech and architecture.

What You'll Be Doing
1) Coaching & Team Building
  • Leading with candor and empathy while understanding that there is no one solution to every problem.
  • You recognize that there are many different career paths in technology and are able to help people find their way.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship for a team of Software Developers. You can jump in on a code review with the best of them.
  • Diving into the architecture for your team's projects and help make important decisions.
  • Maintain high standards for hiring. You are a sharp interviewer, can spot talent a mile away
  • Helping recruit, onboard, and help build and maintain our client's infectious Engineering culture.
2) Process
  • Building processes that are committed to improvement.
  • Being open to and encouraging ideas from the team on process changes and improvements.
  • Recognizing that processes are important to deliver an incredible product.
  • Measuring productivity and bottlenecks. You are fast to act on issues affecting the team and always encourage creative thinking about how to make our process better.
3) Communication
  • You are able to talk about technology with others. Regardless of team or role, you can break down technical jargon and are able to explain it easily to others on your team
  • You understand the importance of strong communication and how it builds a strong rapport.
  • You can represent the dev team internally and be trusted to communicate important information at all levels.
What You're Bringing
  • University degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years in development roles of growing responsibility
  • 3+ years' experience managing or leading a development team
  • Experience with Agile Software Development
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • A creative and methodical mind
  • Experience scaling a multi-tenant SaaS platform is a nice-to-have
  • Experience in the following is a plus:
