Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal
Schedule: 11+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week
Location: Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s (non-camp position, required to live in the area)
Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions
Requirements:
- Minimum five (5) years Civil /Earthworks experience including experience in constructing Roadways/Subdivisions.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Clean Driving Record
-
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Pre-employment:

Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements

Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
Labour Foreman Responsibilities:
- Oversee, supervise and manage crew, including equipment operators and labourers

Ensure schedules and timelines are met

Work with project management to schedule and coordinate tasks

Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner

Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture

Labour Foreman Qualifications:

Minimum five (5) years Civil or Industrial Foreman, with experience in constructing Roadways/Subdivisions.

In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.

Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.

Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.

Must have extensive knowledge of "Urban" Subdivision grading or Industrial.

Recognizes and understands the safe operation of heavy equipment and material handling.

Good communication and interpersonal skills required.

Must be a team player.

Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.

Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology degree/diploma considered an asset.
