Position Overview
IDA Collingwood Pharmacy is seeking licensed and qualified Nurse Immunizers on a casual or contract basis to support our seasonal flu and vaccination campaign from October 13, 2026 through November 7, 2026. As an integral part of our community care team, you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and compassionate immunization services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinic Operations: Assist with daily immunization clinic setup, sanitization, and end-of-day teardown.
- Patient Assessment & Consent: Screen patients prior to vaccination, review health histories, address patient questions, and obtain informed consent.
- Vaccine Administration: Prepare, draw, and safely administer vaccines following all clinical guidelines and provincial protocols.
- Documentation: Accurately log patient records and immunization details into required reporting database (IMMSBC).
- Post-Care & Emergency Response: Monitor patients post-vaccination for adverse reactions and administer first aid or emergency protocol if necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Registration: Active license in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) (RN or LPN).
- Immunization Certification: Certified to administer vaccinations in British Columbia.
- Education: Successful completion of the BCCDC Immunization Competency Course for Nurses.
- Certifications: Current, valid CPR (Level C or BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient-care skills with a strong focus on community health and safety.
Work Schedule & Compensation

- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience ($40–$50/hour).
- Location: On-site at IDA Collingwood Pharmacy (Vancouver, BC).
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
