Gifted & Enrichment Tutor (Part-Time)

Are you passionate about helping bright students reach their full potential? Healthy Dialogues Academy is seeking an engaging and experienced Gifted & Enrichment Tutor to support high-achieving learners and prepare students for Ontario gifted screening and identification assessments.
Position Details
Location: Ajax/Whitby, ON (In-person) Schedule: 1–2 evenings per week (2–4 hours/week)
Pay: $25–$30/hour (based on experience)
Start Date: July 2026
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver enrichment lessons for students in Grades 3–10.
- Prepare students for Ontario gifted screening and identification assessments, focusing on:
- Verbal reasoning
- Non-verbal reasoning
- Spatial reasoning
- Pattern recognition
- Problem-solving strategies
- Working memory and processing activities
- Facilitate engaging activities in:
- Critical Thinking
- Public Speaking
- Creative Writing
- STEM Exploration
- Leadership Development
- Executive Functioning and Study Skills
- Differentiate instruction to challenge advanced learners.
- Provide progress updates and recommendations to families.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- OCT certified teacher, teacher candidate, psychologist, educational therapist, or tutor with experience supporting gifted learners.
- Familiarity with Ontario gifted identification practices and cognitive ability assessments (e.g., reasoning-based screening tools).
- Experience teaching enrichment, advanced academics, or gifted education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
