Position Summary: The summer Snowmaking Technician supports the maintenance, repair, and improvement of snowmaking infrastructure in preparation for the winter season. This role assists with pipeline repairs, trail clearing, equipment maintenance, and general labour to support the snowmaking team.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with setup, inspection, and maintenance of snowmaking equipment

Test and repair snowmaking guns, hoses, and hydrants

Assist with on-hill pipeline repairs and infrastructure changes

Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on snowmaking equipment and infrastructure

Maintain records of all maintenance performed on snowmaking equipment and infrastructures

Maintain access roads and ski trails to support operations

Operate heavy equipment including track loaders, mini-excavators, backhoes, and tractors as required

Perform routine equipment maintenance including greasing and fluid checks

Complete pre-start equipment inspections and report deficiencies to supervisor

Work collaboratively with the other departments as required
Qualifications:
-
Previous snowmaking experience considered an asset

Previous heavy equipment operation experience considered an asset

Valid driver’s license required

Proficient time management and communication ability

Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and problem-solve ability

Prior experience with operating chainsaws and brush saws considered an asset

Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions
