Job Overview
Must have 1yr experience AZ Driver or Owner Operator with a 5 Ton Straight Truck to manage freight transportation between Canada and the USA. Duties
- Safely operate a 5 Ton Straight Truck for cross-border freight transportation between Canada and the USA
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Navigate international routes efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and customs procedures
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle operability
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including bills of lading and shipping manifests
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and customs officials regarding delivery schedules and requirements
- Ensure cargo is handled carefully to prevent damage during transit
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for international freight transport
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with heavy-duty trucks like a 5 Ton Straight Truck
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocol
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and cross-border shipping procedures
- Commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct during all operations
Pay: $180,000.00-$300,000.00 per year
