Artisan Metal Finishing is now hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our Day Shift team!
Position: Product Inspector
Shift: Day Shift - Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Wage: $18.00 per hour (increase to $18.50/hour after 90-day review)
Role Overview:
As a Product Inspector, you will perform visual inspections of parts and products to ensure they meet customer requirements and our high-quality standards before shipping. This role involves detailed inspection for visible defects, completing inspection documentation, and handling products for final processing. You'll be a key part of our team, helping to uphold quality standards and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Inspection: Conduct thorough visual inspections of parts for visible defects, confirming adherence to customer specifications and industry standards.
- Documentation: Accurately record inspection times and complete required documentation, including tagging defective products as needed.
- Product Handling: Palletize approved products for transfer to the Shipping Department.
- Work Area Maintenance: Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workstation, promoting a safe work environment.
- Team Support: Assist and train team members in inspection procedures and maintain consistency in quality practices.
- Communication: Coordinate with the shift supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager to report quality issues and discuss improvement opportunities.
Qualifications We’re Looking For:
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player
- Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication
- Physical capability to meet job demands, including bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive motions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependability with a strong attendance record
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to daily tasks
