Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Technician plays a key role in a collaborative Team dedicated to building and repairing innovative Weatherhaven shelters and other systems. As part of the Team, the Production Technician performs a variety of hands-on assembly tasks using different methods and tools. Key Functions & Duties
Measure, mark, cut and sew materials accurately using template, samples and technical drawings to meet production specifications.
Sew bags and multi-layer components of varying sizes, incorporating Velcro, zippers, and various types of buckles
Perform custom and prototype sewing work to support product development and specialized production needs.
Lead by example in performing tasks to promote best practices and Team performance.
Follow and adhere to build instructions and standardized processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
Ensure that manufactured products meet Weatherhaven's quality and workmanship standards.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to use measuring tools (Metric & Imperial system), sewing machine, scissors, straight edge, etc.
Physical ability to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 50lbs, bending and crouching and standing for extended periods.
Must be willing to learn new skills and alternate fabric joining method.
Good analytical and mathematical skills for accurate problem-solving and data interpretation.
Excellent work ethic, including punctuality, reliability, and initiative.
Positive attitude and ability to work well in both a Team and independent settings.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is considered an asset.
Experience working with various fabric type is considered an asset.
