Kingpin St Catharines is a centrally located at The Niagara Pen Centre, premium entertainment destination for casual users, social and corporate groups. What will you be doing?

Manage all aspects of the culinary operations at Kingpin St Catharines
-
Actively involved with menu creation and planning, costing and new product development
-
Oversee all execution of foodservice operations (functions and events).

Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.

Responsible to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and follow supplier relationships as outlined by Bingemans (Kingpin St Catharines).

Responsible for purchasing product, food, beverage, and paper supplies.
-
Control and adjust labour according to business volume.

Consistently monitor and control food costs to achieve budget while ensuring that Bingemans standards of quality and quantity of product is maintained.

Monitor proper usage and rotation of stored goods, ensuring food safety standards are always followed.

Ensure that the kitchen’s cleanliness is maintained to standards and that equipment is in good working order through general and preventative maintenance.

Prepare staff schedules according to business volume.

Clearly and effectively communicate goals, issues and general information to the kitchen staff and management.

Work in a team environment with other departments in servicing our guests to exceed their expectations.

Responsible for identifying, creating, and monitoring proper safe work practices/procedures and for ensuring that all staff in the kitchen are fully and properly trained in the safe operation and procedures of all applicable operating equipment.

Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all areas and operating equipment at Kingpin St Catharines are maintained in a safe working condition and that all reasonable precautions are taken to ensure the safety of staff.

Enforce, update, and ensure compliance with all health standards, policies and procedures.

Be aware of any hazards in your area and ensure that controls are in place to control the chance of incident/accident.

Comply with relevant health and safety laws as they apply under the OH&SA, the regulations, and the WHMIS regulations.

Comply with Supervisors responsibilities as required under the OH&SA

Ensure that any Personal Protective Equipment is worn by you or anyone in your department who requires it. Attend any pertinent training sessions.

Minimum 2 years Restaurant/Kitchen Management experience

Post-Secondary Education in Restaurant Management/Hospitality Management preferred
