Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing professional grooming services that ensure our furry clients look and feel their best. The Dog Groomer will work closely with pet owners to understand their preferences and deliver high-quality grooming experiences in a friendly, professional environment.
Duties
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs of all breeds and sizes using appropriate grooming tools and techniques
- Trimming fur, nails, ears, and applying grooming products as needed
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of grooming equipment and work area
- Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and recommendations
- Managing appointment schedules and ensuring timely service delivery
- Handling heavy lifting when necessary to assist with larger or heavier animals
- Monitoring pet behavior to prevent injury or distress during grooming sessions
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog grooming or related pet care fields is preferred but not required; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during grooming sessions
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
