Under the general guidance and direction of the Manager of Financial Systems Support and Integration, the Financial Systems and Process Analyst is responsible for the ongoing support and continuous improvement of the City’s financial systems and processes. Specifically, this position leads and manages projects and/or initiatives to upgrade existing financial systems and/or processes; to integrate new and existing financial systems, system functionalities, or processes with existing financial systems or processes; provide reports; maintain access; and/or to implement new financial systems and/or processes. Additionally, this position receives, investigates, and resolves various financial systems and/or process issues and problems; provides functional advice and guidance to financial system end-users; and proactively engages with financial system end-users to identify areas of improvement for various financial systems and/or processes. Lastly, this position is responsible for monitoring the performance of the various financial system and processes, and implements operational efficiencies to enhance overall functionality of the City’s financial system and processes. Overall, this position plays an integral role in supporting, maintaining, improving, and creating efficiencies in the City’s financial systems and processes.

Education (degree/diploma/certifications)
· Four (4) year University Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
· Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Experience
· Five (5) years of experience performing duties related to the above mentioned major responsibilities, including:
o demonstrated experience leading system implementation working groups/teams
o demonstrated project management experience
o demonstrated experience working with third party vendors and internal clients
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
· General knowledge of lean process improvement methodologies
· Working knowledge of project management methodology
· Working knowledge of process modeling and analysis tools
· Demonstrated ability to:
o align financial system/processes with branch, department and corporate goals, objectives and initiatives

o interpret and analyze data; identify challenges or opportunities; and make recommendations

· Availability to attend evening/weekend meetings and/or to work outside of designated normal hours per week
