Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior natural gas exploration and production company focused on long-
term growth through an active exploration, development, production, and acquisition program in the Western
Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
We are currently seeking an Operational Technology Network Specialist (18-Month Contract) to join our team
in Calgary.
This role is part of the Operational Technology (OT) team and is responsible for strengthening and securing
OT environments to support safe and reliable operations. Reporting to the Team Lead, Operational
Technology Security, and working under the technical direction of the OT Network Architect, the successful
candidate will collaborate closely with OT Security, Infrastructure, Automation, SCADA, and Field Operations
teams.
This position balances day-to-day OT network support with network design, engineering, and continuous
improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- OT Network Operations & Support:
o Operate and maintain OT network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, routers, and
site connectivity
o Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve OT network incidents to minimize operational impact
o Execute approved network changes in accordance with change management and safety
requirements
o Maintain OT network security controls aligned with internal standards and risk management
practices
o Support firewall rule changes, access control updates, and network segmentation activities
o Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records
o Support routing and switching across complex, multi-site OT environments including plants,
field locations, and data centers
o Travel to facilities as required to support incidents, integrations, and installations
- OT Network Engineering & Improvement:
o Design, implement, and support industrial network architectures aligned with the Purdue
Model
o Contribute to network improvement initiatives and infrastructure modernization projects
o Deploy and manage next-generation firewall platforms such as Palo Alto Networks and
Fortinet
o Contribute to network segmentation, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity
improvement initiatives
