Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop essential skills under the guidance of experienced technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical systems, construction, and maintenance, with a focus on learning and growth within the HVAC industry. Part-time on call basis with possible full time hours during busy season and the possibility of full time as the company grows.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems
- Learn to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Support the troubleshooting of HVAC units, boilers, and appliances
- Participate in the assembly and disassembly of mechanical components using welding and construction techniques
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues with HVAC equipment and related systems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Gain experience in working with mechanical tools, schematics, and various construction materials
Skills (bonus but will train)
- Basic understanding of plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with HVAC principles and maintenance practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliances repair and general construction processes
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the field of HVAC maintenance
- Prior experience as a mechanic or in appliance repair is a plus but not required
