Overview
The QC Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the Quality Management System ensuring compliance to all requirements of the CSA plant certification program for concrete pressure pipe products. The position is in St-Eustache , Quebec, French is essential and English an advantage. The incumbent is also responsible for additional contract-specific manufacturing and QC requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of QA/QC requirements.
- Monitor and direct the daily activities of QA Technicians.
- Verify each stage of production at each department. Ensure that the work is done in accordance to AWWA and good practice.
- Maintain certificate from Canadian Welding Bureau, keep the certificates of welders up to date, prepare the welding procedures, training of welders
- Ensure QA Technicians have the required certifications and keep them current.
- Maintain records of all quality inspection and test reports.
- Calibration of all measuring equipment
- Review all mill certifications and raw material certificates to ensure compliance with our requirements.
- Ensure compliance with any additional QA procedures required by project specifications.
- Report and track all quality non-conformances and propose corrective actions (CSR/NCR).
- Train and continuously develop QA Technicians on testing and inspection procedures
- Serve as the company representative for audits and inspections (the audits, ACCPA, BNQ. NSF, CWB)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in quality control, QA/QC, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations
- Knowledge of quality management principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- CET certification in Civil Engineering, or relevant work experience in a QA/QC position in a precast concrete manufacturing industry.
- Must obtain ACI CSA Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1, training provided as required.
- Must become if is not a welding inspector qualified in accordance with CWB in conformance with the requirements of the Canadian Standard Association (CSA) Standard W178.2
- Knowledge of CSA, ASTM and PCI specifications related to our products.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Computer literacy with ability to use Microsoft Office software.
