Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, blowouts, and special treatments tailored to client preferences
- Deliver personalized customer service to ensure client satisfaction and foster repeat business
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations and salon policies
- Educate clients on hair care products and recommend retail items to enhance their styling experience
- Upsell salon services and retail products to maximize client engagement and revenue opportunities
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling transactions efficiently
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional recommendations
- Keep the work station organized, clean, and well-maintained at all times
Qualifications
- Valid state cosmetology license or hairstylist license required
- Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, and cutting techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Excellent communication skills for effective client consultations and team collaboration
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safety standards in a salon environment
- Ability to upsell products and services confidently without being pushy
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
- A passion for beauty trends, creativity, and continuous learning in the hairstyling industry
