Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the pharmacy operations including greeting patients and confirming accuracy of prescriptions, dispensing medications, completing customer pickups, data entry, pharmacy inventory support, other technical/ administrative tasks and supporting specialty pharmacy programs such as Home Monitoring.
Skills, Experience and Qualification
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Inventory management (order and put away front store and pharmacy stock).
- Process prescription orders.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Bag and prepare prescription medications for delivery.
- Call and/or fax Prescribers for follow-up as required.
- Ability to learn specialty compounding.
- General clean-up and tidying of the store.
- Duties will adjust over time based on the needs of the store.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in compounding would be considered an asset.
- 2–4 years of experience using Kroll.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF document management, as well as Google Sheets and SharePoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Customer service experience, including answering calls and assisting customers.
- Ability to work proactively as a member of a dynamic team with minimal supervision.
- Adaptable, dependable, and a fast learner
Key Requirements
- 2-3 years experience and education as a pharmacy assistant or similar role within Canada.
- Ability to stand for length of shift
- Ability to lift up to 15 kg (35 lbs)
Experience: Pharmacy: 2 years (Preferred)
Work Location: Surrey or Vancouver

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
