Specialized Metal Fabricators Inc. is looking for an experienced TIG / MIG Welder to join our production team.
We are looking for someone who can weld aluminum and stainless steel, read drawings, work accurately, and produce clean, high-quality work in a custom metal fabrication environment.
Position: TIG / MIG Welder
Job Type: Full-time
Location: 101 Marycroft Avenue, Woodbridge, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM -3:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel
- Weld parts according to drawings, work orders, and production requirements
- Fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish fabricated components as required
- Inspect own work for accuracy, weld quality, appearance, and defects
- Follow welding procedures, safety rules, and shop standards
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Work with supervisors and production team to complete jobs on schedule
Requirements:
- Experience with TIG and MIG welding
- Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel
- CWB certification required or strongly preferred
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings
- Ability to produce clean, consistent welds
- Experience in custom metal fabrication is an asset
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Must follow safety procedures and quality standards
Assets:
- CWB certified for MIG welding
- Experience with architectural metal, aluminum panels, frames, backpans, cladding, or custom fabrication
- Experience with grinding, finishing, and fitting
- Ability to work with both thin gauge and heavier material
